Oil on 11×14in stretched cotton canvas
Inspired by the sacred plant of cannabis, also known as Santa Maria.
After many years of receiving its healing I wanted to grow my own to connect to the plant, nurture it as it nurtured me. Watching the crystals form and the buds begin to flower I couldn't help but appreciate her beauty and artistry, that my next impulse was to bring out my paints and brushes. Going for a surreal and minimal psychedelic style, her face blossoms from a bud giving her life.
